    Charlemagne becomes King
    When the Frankish King (pepin) died in 768 his kingdom was devided between his 2 sons for 3 years. He ruled with his younger brother Carloman. And when Carloman died he inherited the whole Kinkdom.
    In that period of time he was considered a good ruler and expanded the empire, winning numorous wars and eventually being crowned emporer of Rome.
    The Carolingian he empire built promoted buisness, christianity, laws and general assembly. The empire collapsed after his death.

    The First Crusade bagan when christians from Western Europe responded to pope Urban II's plea to fight against Muslim forces in the Holy Land. The first Crusade resolted in the recapture of Jerusalem
    It was important because in resulted in Freeing of the Eastern Christians from Muslim rule and opening up trade to the west. This was the first of 9 Crusades.

    Effects of the event: The Chistians forces had pressing issues within there own empires and were unable to continue fighting the Muslims.
    The Crusades were unable to reatian the lands dominated by the Muslims and with the rise of the Reformation and the decline of papal authority these major wars ended

    The cause of The Black Death happened because of a terrible disease that spread incredible fast through europe from 1347 to 53. The Disease happended because of flee's on rats.
    Effects on the Black Death: The Black death spread through Europe killing 75 to 200 billion people.
    The Black Death is so important as it was incureable and killed 60% of the population of Europe.

    The cause of the event was domination by the Muslims which lead christian Kingdoms to drive them out of Iberian. Effects of the event: The effect was the capture of Granada.
    This event marked the end of the Muslim rue in Iberia.

    The effects of the event was that King Henry the 4th was twice excommunicated from his possition as head of the church.
    This is significant because it was battle for papal sepremecy.
