The birth of Robin
This is a physical change mostly but can also go under social, intellectual and emotional. I say this is mostly a physical change because it's the very last stage until i became a "human being"and was unleashed into the world. Also, this is a main physical stage because just a month or so before birth i would develop eyesight, hearing, speaking (noises), fingers, toes, hair etc. and even afterwards ill still be growing. -
Learned to Skate
This was a very big physical change because it was the first time i was on skates and it was something completely out of my comfort zone. i previously played ball hockey and baseball in the sunner but i never even seen a hockey rink from the inside perpective. I always hated learning how to skate because the people i was with started a year or two a head of me so i was always the worst in the group. I had my lessons 2 times a week for 3-4 years at the Queensmount Arena. -
First Day of Elementary School (SK)
This is a emotional change because as a kid i had a lot of learning disabilities and problems being in a classroom setting. Also as any kid at the age of 5 being somewhere by themselves is a massive change to their daily routines and a massive change that is hard to get used to easily. I had to learn to take weird and unusual orders from someone i have never seen or meant before which would be hard for anyone at such a young age. -
Tonsillectomy and Adenoldectomy Surgery
This was a big physical change in my life that would really change my life as a kid because i would get sick 4-5 times a year and if i didn't have this done it could of build massive problems for me. The operation was done by Dr.Scott in Stratford and the funny thing was after the operation a few days later i got sick so i had to deal with both of those problems at once. -
First Hockey Game As a Player
This could be considered as being many things, But i think this is a big social change because it was the real first time i played something i really liked and meant people i would see for years and years to come. For example i grew up with a lot of parents, coaches and other hockey players that i played with since i was 7-8 years old so i've seen thes people for 6-7 months out of a year for 10-11 years, so the social aspect of hockey is a massive concept to consider. -
First Hockey Goal
This is an obvious emotional change because as a young kid watching a lot of NHL hockey and watching players that i have grown to like and being able to do what they do on the ice is a real emotional thing for the people evolved and the people watching. If i didn't start playing hockey at such a young age i probably wouldn't like it so much as i do now and probably will for a long time to come. -
First Game as An Ice Hockey Goalie
i think of this as being a intellectual change because as a player you have to have a whole different kind of mindset then you would as a goalie. You get a whole knew perpective of the game and you need to start from the beginning and learn how to skate with different kinds of skates, put on different equipment, play differently (stop thinking about scoring and start thinking about stoping the puck) and probably the most important is as a goalie you get a big reputation either bad or good. -
Won first hockey Championship
This was a big emotional change and a big emotional booster for me as a kid. It was my first year playing hockey and i won my first championship out of three in total. We won not only the KW championship but we won the Record cup which was between the top teams from Kitchener and Waterloo for a chance to play in a massive championship tournament in Brantford. -
Diagnosed with High Functioning Autism
This is a massive intellectual change because going through all the tests and activities i've went through in my life taught me that i have a lot of unique learning processes and it's helped me to control my anger, and other problems that can occur in and out of school. To start off 2005 i previously finished 5 years of speech therapy, intellectual puzzles and questions with Dr.Swanson and spent half to a full school day at the Kids ability center. -
First day of Senior Public School
This was a big social change because it was a time where i made a lot of my friends that i have today that are even stronger friends now that i meant threw senior public school and maybe even elementary school. It was the first time since the 7 years of elementary school that i would be meeting, seeing and communicating with different people instead of the same 50-60 students i've seen previously. -
Attended first African Wedding Ceremony
This was a massive social change because it was the first time i have ever been apart of a big cultural and religious ceremony that included my family and relatives. My cousin Funmilayo Akindolire (female) married Dr. Sunday Olatunji in Toronto, Ontario. It was quite a weird but a fun experience and one of the biggest wedding i've ever been a part of having almost 1000 people their from beginning to end and it didn't finish until almost 5 in the morning. -
First Day of High School
This is an emotional change because it was the first time that i had to do a lot of things 100% by myself, i had to wake up earlier, figure out that i had a lot more homework that would completely change my undersstanding of the work being done, i was able to take things i'm interested in, meet a lot of new people and see a lot of old friends from other senior public schools. As a whole i think my transition from senior public school to high school was quite easy compared to others. -
First Hockey Fight
I think this was a big social change in the locker room because my teammates previously saw me as a funny, outgoing, laid back,joking guy who laughs a lot and talks to people but this was the first time they saw me actually mad and what i could do when i'm mad. While i was making a save i got slashed in the neck by a opposing player, whtich made me mad, later on in the game the same player came in as i covered the puck and speared me in the stomach so i flipped out and started attacking the guy. -
Entering College
I would consider this as being a cognitive and intellectual change because it's the first time i woulod be learning about something that could drastically change my life and could decide what i do as my future career. Also, it's when i have to become an adult wake up by myself, go to class, study by myself, eat by myself etc that will build the foundation of how i will life as i get older.
