  • Chicken Pox

    Chicken Pox
I was only five years old and I still remember my mom putting the calamine lotion on my body. I was extremely itchy and uncomfortable. I was not so happy about being sick and having a fever. This was an emotional and physical change towards my body. Physical change.
  • Family Trip

    Family Trip
My first family trip was at Disney! This was an amazing experience being in the hot weather, seeing palm trees for the first time, and meeting my favorite characters! This was emotional because I was so happy to be there, and it was also social because I interacted with many different people such as meeting new kids at the hotel.
  • Moving Into My New House

I was excited to get my own room, have my own freedom and have my space to play and move around. This was an emotional, intellectual and physical change because of the new found space. I also got to pick my new bed set and colours for my room.
  • Lost My First Tooth

    Lost My First Tooth
I was about six years old when I began to have my first loose tooth. The first time I was scared to loose my tooth. I would wiggle my tooth around and it would be to the point that my tooth would be hanging but I didn't want to pull it out! My mom would trick me and say she wants to look at it but she pulled it right out! This was an emotional and physical change for me. Emotional because I was afraid of bleeding and getting hurt, and physical because I lost my first tooth!
  • Removed my tonsils

    Removed my tonsils
During this time I was getting sick way to often and the doctor recommended I should get my tonsils removed. I missed two weeks of school when I was in grade 5. It was really painful and I was allergic to the medicine the doctors gave me so I was sick longer then expected. This is also a physical change towards my body because I had surgery, this also increased my fear for visiting the doctor or dentists (emotional).
  • Learning to Swim

    Learning to Swim
I started learning how to swim at the YMCA when I was four this was a social activity for me because I interacted and played with the other children. I attended my lessons until I was nine and stopped because the life guard threw me in the deep end when I was not prepared. This was an emotional state for me because I was scared to swim when I wasn't ready.
  • Public School

    Public School
I attended public school when I was in grade 8. Before grade 8 I was going to a private school. Everyone at my private school was like family we all got along with each other. Going to public school was a big change for me and the first day was really scary, but then I engaged with other students and became more social. This was an intellectual change to realize the difference between two different schools.
  • First day in high school!

    First day in high school!
The first day of high school was really stressful but I was lucky to have more than five of my cousins attending at the same time. They took really good care of me and I made a lot of new friends. This was an emotional and social change towards my life, because I was stressed about the first day and social because I met a lot of amazing people!
  • Zapped and Marked for Four Years!

Zapped and Marked for Four Years!
It was my first two weeks of high school and I was getting off the buss and walking towards school. I walked through the grass on the football field when a wasp suddenly decided to attack my ankle about six times. My friends brought me to the office because I could hardly walk and my ankle was really swollen. This was a physical and emotionally upsetting time. I also had pain for at least three months and I still have the marks after four years!
  • Kids Ability Co-op

    Kids Ability Co-op
I learned many skills when I did my co-op placement which helped me with my social, cognitive, and intellectual skills. I learned how to communicate and understanded the disabled children. I also learned some basic sign language. The children were sweet hearts and I would do this milestone all over again if I could!
  • My First Job!

    My First Job!
My first job is at Bed Bath and Beyond, I work with some amazing, kind and caring people. I've learned how to communicate with customers, time manage, and multitask. I've also learned how to deal with difficult customers as well. I learned how to count the till and close the store, and I have experienced body pain because of standing for many hours. This milestone has given me intellectual experience as well as social, emotional and even physical understanding of the job.
  • Applying to College

Applying to Conestoga to become an ECE (Early Childhood Educator). At the moment this is a stressful milestone and exciting as well. I love working and studying about children.
