    The "wanted" pope

    Pope Urban VI was favored by the people of Rome and was then elected as pope. After his election, the people of Rome did not like him so much. Clement VII was then elected and there were now 2 popes. They both hated each other and then split the church in half.

    New Pope

    All 3 popes, Avignon Pope, Clement VII, and Urban VI, were forced to resign by the council. Martin V was elected new pope.
