My daughter was born in 1986. Besides being a Mom, I felt my role was a teacher to her. I loved teaching her new things every day, and felt that I would love teaching others and making a difference in their lives.

When my daughter entered first grade, I became a room mother. I loved the atmosphere of the school, and I really enjoyed seeing how much my daughter loved her teacher and how much she enjoyed being in the classroom.

When both my daughters were in school, I took a job as a classroom assistant. I loved working with the students everyday, and found the work very rewarding.

In 2002, my friend told me about a job that was opening up. I had been working part time, but felt it was time for a full-time position. I enjoyed teaching in small groups, and it was fun having different age groups throughout the day from grades one to five.

I am anxious to be able to find new and better ways to teach my students. I feel that what I have learned from my classes will already help me in the fall when I go back to school.
