Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born in Porbandar 2 octuber 1869. He grew up in Porbandar. Porbandar was a poor village in India.

He got married at 13 with Kasturba Makharji. She help a lot Gandhi for the drets of the Indian people.

He went to the school during 20 years and in 1889 he went to London to study legal studies.
After he returned to his country but erlier he went to Africa and he help a lot of Indians that they lived there -
In 1896 to 1897 Gandhi did agricolture colonys, hospitals and he try to eliminate religions that dividate the comunity, and he had to confront with the autoritis of South- Africa. He establish a social method that try to respect all the human race.

In 1920 in Nacional Congres of India, in Calcuta, Gandhi proposed to do a resistence without violence. In this moment he was a very important person for the Congres and for India.

In 1930 Gandhi wrote a thing for all the contry, that the congres penalised, about his love to his home. In this same year Gandhi organised a protest against the law of the salt.
