    Train incedent
    British soldiers approach Gandhi as he is on a train to South Africa, which is owned by the British at the time. The British soldiers ask Gandhi for identification and once they find that he's Indian, they ask him to move to 1st class and he refuses so they throw him off the train. This is an example of racism. This act was racist because they only approched Gandhi in the first place because of his race.

    Gandhi forms a group of Indians to protest against the British in South Africa. The British require Indians to show their race on their train pass and Gandhi wants to protest that. The South African Indians burn their train passes in front of the British soldiers to show protest.

    After Gandhi's non violent protest in South Africa British beat and arrested Gandhi. This shows Superiority and Oppresssion.
    The Guard wanted Gamdhi to feel opprested so they tried to make him feel scared to continue protesting.It also showed Superiotity because the Gaurds wanted Gandhi to feel inferior to the British government.

    The British governement passed a law that required all Indians in India to be fingerprinted and to keep registration documents on them at all times. This dehumanized the Indian citizens because they were in their own country and they had to prove that they were citzens. This is inequality because the British living in India did not have to provide documentation and this is injustice because it wasn't just to require documents from citizens in their own country

    The Marriage Act made it against the law to have a marriage that is not a christian marraige. With the majority of India's population being Hindu and Muslim, it made all of their marriages invalid. This shows cultrual control and religious influences. It it these things because that is a huhge part of their culture and their lives. It is trying to control their religion because the term "Mariiage" is a Christian term that they are trying to enforce.

    The Amritsar Massacre was an example of cultural control and oppression. A british marched his forces into a peaceful gathering with women and children and 1516 people were murdered. This was cultural control because they wanted to strike fear and it was oppression because the general was trying to prevent further protesting.

    Gandhi's Arrest was an example of loss of political power because Gandhi was the only person who was standing up for the freedom of the country so after his arrest the country lost their vioce. This was also an example of supiriority because it was controlling the people by taking their leader from them.

    Gandhi gets a group to burn all their clothes that have been made in the U.K. The only clothes they had left were the ones that they made themselves. The Indians were forced to buy the British made clothing and they were boycotting that. This is an example of dstruction of property because they burned the clothing.

    Gandhi has everyone make their own salt. The Salt tax at the time made it impossible to get salt without a high tax. So Gandhi made it so everyone could have salt free of charge. This shows salutary neglect because Gandhi got around the tax and the law.

    Gandhi organizes a group of people to protest the British salt making factories. The purpose of this prtest ws to protest the British tax on salt making and the fact that they didn't let the Indians make their own salt. This is an example of a protest march.

    Gandhi stands up for the Untouchables (Those who were casteless) by doing their jobs. I think his purpose was to show that everyone is equal and should be treated like that. This is an example of non violent cooperation because he was trying to make a point in a non violent way.

    Gandhi was fasting to make a point of nonviolence and to get his fellow indians to stop using violence when protesting. He wanted the indians to show they can dish out just as much as the British without doing anything.

    British Guards asked Gandhi what he was going to speak about at national convention and when he said he was going to speak about how to stop War the guards arrested him. This is an example of loss of political power because he can't speak in protest to the people who follow him.

    Gandhi had his longest fast, it lasted 21 days because he wanted the Hindu's and Muslims to stop fighting amongst eachother. After a while they finally stopped fighting and rioting and killing eachother but the countries were still seperated.
