    Raising Chickens
    I was 7 years old when I had to opportunity to raise a bundle of baby chickens. It was rough at first because when you are 8 years old you don't really know what you are doing half of the time, but I had to feed and take care of them all of the time. I remember everyday I would come home for school and rush into the backyard to see them. It was like having a pet for the first time fore me, and it taught me a lot of responsibility and how to take care of animals.

    The Puerto Rico Trip
    Puerto Rico was A whole new world to me. The food,people, atmosphere,weather,and they way Puerto Ricians lived their everyday lives. It showed me a whole new way of living. On this trip I went horseback riding along the beach,para-sailed,went on a boat,seen the ocean for the first time, went to lots of festivals,ate cool foods,and most importantly I learned that adventure awaits.

    Seeing The Ocean For The Very First Time!
    I heard the sound of the ocean, knowing that it was close. I could feel the ocean breeze and smell the salty air. I ran at full speed to see the ocean for the very first time. Living In Colorado I had never seen anything like It, it was breathtaking. I never thought I would see the ocean and, be seeing it at such a young age! This taught me that there is A first time for everything.

    Parasailing In Puerto Rico
    Parasailing was my personal favorite activity in Puerto Rico . Being about 8 years old, I had never done parasailing or anything even related to it, so I decided to do it with my mom. We were flying! I was screaming at the top of my lungs because I was not scared of being up high into the air, I was scared of falling, but then I felt he wind was blow through my hair and we were flying! This taught me that sometimes you need to relax and enjoy life.

    Horse Back Riding Along The Beach
    In Puerto Rico, I went horse back riding along the beaches of Puerto Rico. I had no idea how to ride a horse or maneuver it but It got easier each minute when my horse Golden showed me the gorgeous scenery of Puerto Rico like waterfalls,mountains, the ocean and the sunset. This taught me to enjoy the little things in life.
  • Road trip To Vegas

    Road trip To Vegas
    This very long road trip took at least 5 hours from San Diego to Las Vegas Nevada. It was absolutely impossible for A 9 year old to be stuck in the car for 5 hours straight. It was hot and exhausting,I just wanted to get to Vegas. Eventually, we arrived in Vegas but I learned that sometimes things can take time and we can't expect everything at once.

    The First California Trip
    The trip to California consisted of 3 weeks in San Francisco,San Diego,then a road trip to Las Vegas. We spent 2 weeks in California Zip-lining, shopping,swimming at beaches and lakes, and Alcatraz island. At first, I wasn't sure If I liked California but the longer I stayed the more I liked it and the people, the scenery, and all of the famous landmarks like Hollywood, Marilyn Monroe's house and much more. I've gone back 3 times since, teaching me that I shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

    Alcatraz Island In San Francisco
    There was A long waiting period before the boat to take us to Alcatraz Island came. When it did, we sat on the top of the boat on the very outside, it was absolutely freezing! After A while, we arrives at Alcatraz. I didn't know much about what Alcatraz and what it was because I was still young, but there was tour guide to explain Alcatraz's full history. I seen a lot of historical sites and objects as well. This taught me that we can learn alot from history.

    Zip-Lining Across Fremont Street In Las Vegas
    As we walked all the way across Fremont street, I looked up and seen a person flying through the air on A zip- line. Instantly, I worked my way up to the zip-line and I got strapped onto the zip- line. I shot across Fremont street observing all of the people,stores, and the scenery, but before I knew it, It was over. I was angry that It ended so quickly and I wanted to go again, but this taught me to not take anything for granted.

    The Trip To Florida
    Right around June 6th for my 13th birthday my mom surprised me with a 2 week trip to Florida. I didn't know we were going until the night before we had to leave but, it was the best birthday I've ever had. We kept busy with a different activity everyday, such as zoos, the Florida Everglades,restaurants,swimming and lounging around at deer field beach and exploring Florida. Over this trip I got really close to my mom and I learned that spending time with family is important.
