    The weak leader

Louis XVI, was one of France's leaders but not at all close to being a good one. Louis XVI took advice from his wife, which she did not give out any god advice. Nobody liked his wife, queen Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI was a weak and awful leader so the citizens did not enjoy either of them.
I feel that this is an important part in French history because it started France's downfall.
  • Period: to

    Napoleon

Napoleon was born 1769 and died 1821. Napoleon was very short and had a very thick Corsican accent, Napoleon was bullied because of this. Bullying did not stop Napoleon for he ignored all of it and kept going with his dream.
This was an important time because Napoleon made a HUGE impact on France and the rest of Europe.
  • Period: to

    The great fear

The great fear was when peasants would arm themselves with farm tools, pitch forks and broke into manors houses to destroy paper work. The paper work was what bounded the peasants to the manors so that the peasants would always be in debt. Some peasants even burned down the manors entire house.
I think this was an important time because peasants were speaking up for themselves and started to take action.
  • Period: to

    The Guillotine

The Guillotine was a new killing machine were a rope held a sharp blade in place before letting go to chop off someone's head. The Guillotine was actully called efficient and humane. The majority of people killed by the Guillotine was Third Estate.
I think this is an important time in history because the Guillotine was a very new machine and was very useful in a way.

    Napoleon rules France

Napoleon was crowned Emperor in 1804 by France. While we was being crowned Napoleon took the crown to place on his own head. Which means he was saying that he was more powerful than the churches.

This was an important time because this was the start of Napoleon's empire and downfall.
  • Period: to

    Napoleon's mistakes

Napoleon made many mistakes but but these were the worst. The first mistake was to make a block trade between Great Britain and France, this was supposed to make France more self sufficient but it only backfired. The second mistake was to give away many people for the The Peninsular War; 300,000 people died in this war alone. The last mistake was to invade Russia, he lost 420,000 people. This is important because Napoleon weakened the French empire greatly with these actions.
  • Period: to

    Napoleon's empire

Napoleon had wanted to take over the entire world because of his love of power. Napoleon had taken over Grand Duchy Of Warsaw, Kingdom Of Naples and Spain. Napoleon had majority of France but could not take all.
This is important because Napoleon once had taken over tons of land.
  • Period: to

    The plan for Europe

Europe had wanted to take away some f France's power but not all, because they were afraid that France would try to over throw Europe again. After Napoleon died all of the other counties took back their thrones.
This is important because the counties that Napoleon took over had their thrones again and France had less power.
  • Period: to

    Napoleon's end

Including the three worst mistakes Napoleon made we continued to lead a weak army into battle. At this time Europe was very upset with Napoleon and decided to send him to an island called St. Helena. In 1821 he died from what we think was cancer.
This is important because Europe finally had enough with Napoleon and put an end to him.
  • Period: to

    A new era

After Napoleon, Europe's new rules for France and much more there was more equality and peacefulness in the world. This is when the new era had begun.
This is important because after war, loss of people and lots of blood shed there was finally peace and the new era had begun.
