• Day One

    Day One
From day one, God had plans for me. He knew where I was supposed to be and He has blessed me with the best family in the world. I had no idea where I would end up back then......

My brother was born in 1996 and he is now in his junior year of high school. He is becoming a man of strength and faith and I am very proud to say that he is my brother. I am so excited to see where God takes him in life and I am very proud to call him my younger brother.

    Life as a toddler
I grew up in Australia. My toddler years were busy and exciting and filled with climbing trees, falling off bikes, piano, and lots and lots of ballet :)

    Evangeline Soobin Banks
In the year of 1999 my younger sister was born. She is one one the strongest people I know. Since she was little, she has had a medical condition. This condition got worse and started to decline early in 2011. Since then she has been unable to walk and my family are praying for a miracle. She has been challenged but is fighting through. She inspires me to be a better, stronger person.

From Down Under to the Land of the Morning Calm
My parents took the three muketeers from warm, sunny Australia to Singapore. We were there for a month - my parents had decided to become tent maker missionaries in South Korea. My family currently lives in South Korea. My father is an English professor, and my mum has always been a homestay mum who helps the world keep going round and round.
  • Three Musketeers for Life

    Three Musketeers for Life
It took a while to get use to life in Korea. It was different and very very difficult. Things were always easier with the three of us though. We fought like crazy but because we had all been through the same things, we could always be there for eachother.
  • My Inspiration

    My Inspiration
There is a quote that says, "Mothers hold their child's hand for a moment and their heart for a lifetime." This speaks to me - my mum has been there since the very beginning and is constantly an inspiration for me. She inspires me to be a better person and she is one of the most beautiful, most amazing mum and I would be completely lost without her.

A little fatih goes a long way.
Throughout high school, I struggled a lot with my identity and my purpose in life. I didn't fit in, and although I was always popular, I never felt like I belonged. It was through school activities that I found my place and God used me in ways that I could have never imagined. I am thankful for my high school experience and it shaped me into the person I am today.
  • AMERICA here I come.

    AMERICA here I come.
I had never even dreamed that I would end up in the United States of America. I went from Australia, to South Korea, to the US. It has been one of the hardest but most rewarding experiences. Living in the US has been a new experience but I have no regrets. Coming to Calvin was something that was hard but I believe that I am here for a reason and God is using me in manys ways - even if they are small.

    Life as a Calvin Knight
Calvin is teaching me a lot. I have never been a strong Chrisitian but I have always had faith. My experience so far has helped me to see how God is using me and no matter what, that everything happens for a reason.
  • Friends.

    Friends.
I have always been blessed with such good friends. Mentors and just people that I can go to no matter what, I feel extrememly blessed to have so many good people in my life who bless me in so many different ways.
  • Last Stretch.

    Last Stretch.
I am officially 3/4 done with my college career. I went home over the summer and it was a time of many challenges but also rewards. The reason I am here today is because of my family and all that I am is because of them - they make me who I am today. There is one way to sum up who I am and that is with the word family. I am all about my family and although we fight like crazy and we've had our moments, I have grown to appreciate them so much more. I see how God has blessed me with my family.
