School Age
In May of 2009 I was in 4th grade when our school had a t-shirt design contest for the following year. My teachers and friends pushed me to try so I decided to draw a design and ended up winning! For Erikson's stage of industry vs. inferiority I was able to become confident in my abilities on my own (industry), without the support of friends and teachers i may have doubted my abilities and not had the confidence (inferiority). -
Adolescence
In June of 2013 High School dance tryouts opened up. I didn't know many people at the highschool due to just moving to the town but I took a chance and tried out. I made the team and quickly became part of not just a team but a whole community. During this stage of development I was in Identity Vs. confusion but quickly meeting an amazing group of people helped me find my identity. If i had not have joined the team i may have ended up with no friends and not found where I fit in or who I am. -
Early Adulthood
In July of 2021 I met my husband a year later we got married and had our daughter not long after. For Erikson's intimacy vs. isolation stage I succeeded in intimacy by creating a bond with my husband and creating a family. Without my husband I would have been isolated due to being new to Alaska and not knowing anyone away from my family.
