Grade school was good. 1959 thru 1965 Junior High was miserable because I was bullied pretty much every day 1966 thru 1968. High School was not much better in 1969- January 1972. I had enough credits to graduate in January 1972 and did so escape the misery.

As kids we knew little of world events. The first landing and wallk on the moon was most memorable on July 20, 1969, the racial unrest of the 60's was the most uncomfortable in 1964-1968 and the assassination of President Kennedy was the most unsettling November 22, 1963. The town I grew up in was small so the sense of community and family were closed related. Anything that impacted someone you knew pretty much impacted you.
