  • Christmas Decorating Tradition

    Christmas Decorating Tradition
Every single year since my mom has had kids, she will start decorating for Christmas the day after, or sometimes even the day of Halloween. My mom absolutely loves Christmas and goes crazy with decorating the house. Everywhere you look there's either a Christmas tree or a snowman in sight. My siblings and I just sit back and observe her making my dad drag boxes of decorations through the house, and we try to keep quiet because if she knows we're close by she'll make us come and help too.
  • Went To My Mamaw's Everyday

    Went To My Mamaw's Everyday
My grandparents would watch me and my siblings every single day when mom and dad would go to work. This is a really odd memory, but every single morning my mamaw and papaw would turn on the obituaries and listen to them on their big stereo. While the obituaries were on, my mamaw would make us scrambles eggs and hot chocolate, and me and my brother would play with toys in the living room floor until they let us turn on our cartoons.
  • Christmas Eve at Mamaw's

    Christmas Eve at Mamaw's
It has been a tradition in my family for years, that on Christmas Eve everyone on my dad's side of the family would go to my grandparents house and we would open gifts that we had bought for one an other, and we would all eat dinner and watch the movie , A Christmas Story. This movie has become one of my favorite movies because it brings back so many great memories.
  • Yearly Firework Show

    Yearly Firework Show
Every year on the 4th of July weekend my entire family goes to my grandparent's house and we celebrate the 4th with a huge firework show and a big dinner. My uncle is the one who brings and sets off all of the fireworks, but everyone pitches in money for them. The fireworks are so good that the neighbors even come out to look at them.
  • Easter Egg Hunt

    Easter Egg Hunt
Easter is another holiday my mom goes all out for. Every year my mom throws this huge Easter egg hunt and invites my whole family. We have a big back yard, and my mom fills the yard with hundreds of eggs. After the egg hunt, the person with the most eggs will get like $50, and my mom will sit the little kids down and and read them some type of Easter book. I think that is my first memory of reading.
  • My First Time Seeing The Ocean

My First Time Seeing The Ocean
When I was 7 years old, I went to the ocean for the first time ever. I still remember the car ride over there, it felt like I was sitting there for days. I was so excited to get to the beach and see it, but when we finally got there I didn't even see the ocean. I thought it was the sky. We spent the rest of the week soaking up the sun, smelling the salt, and admiring the beautiful ocean.
  • Lily

    Lily
I live on a big farm, and the only people who live near me are my grandparents and my aunt, and my aunt babysat this little girl named Lily. My aunt started keeping her when she was like 2 months old, and me and my sister fell in love with her. We would go see her every day after school, and when Lily got old enough to understand books, I would read her stories all the time. Lily went to kindergarten this past school year, which was sad, but we'll still see her on the days we don't have school.
  • FUN Days!

    FUN Days!
When I was about ten, my dad had the idea of "fun days." Fun days are a day that just me and my dad would go out to all of my favorite stores and I could get whatever I wanted. This only happened once a year, and it was always around my birthday. On our way home, my dad would always ask me what my favorite thing about the day was, then I'd ask him, and listen to his answer. We don't do this anymore, but it will always be one of my favorite memories.
  • Washington D.C

    Washington D.C
In 8th grade, we took a school trip to Washington D.C. I will never forget this trip. Me and my friends had so much fun. Everything was educational, but it didn't seem like it because we were always doing something fun or seeing something cool.
  • My Journal

    My Journal
Recently, I've been keeping a journal of the fun things I do in my life, so one day i can look back on it and remember all the things I thought I'd never forget. And it's not a diary, because I don't write about me feelings and stuff in it. I got this idea from my best friend, Morgan. (The journal looks like the picture)
