Electronic Timeline

  • Nintendo Gamecube

My older brother and I got our first game cube, which I at the time had minimal interest in but it was full of all the old pac man games.
  • Ninetendo DS

My grandparents bought my older brother, my little sister, and myself all Nintendo DS games (the portable ones) where you could go to GameStop and buy the individual games to play. My favorites were the cooking ones, little pet shop ones, and Mario brothers.
  • Apple Ipod and Idog

Apple iPod and 'I dog'. These were the coolest things growing up. I grew up on my parent's music, so It would be me listening to my dad's Greenday or kid rock playlist, connected to my apple 'I dog' that glowed in different colors and would move to the music. If I could purchase one again today I probably would.
  • Nintendo Wii

My parents upgraded us from the Nintendo DS to the Nintendo Wii so that we could play with one another and have more sibling interaction and family nights. Games that we enjoyed playing with each other, and still do, are WII sports, Mario Kart, Super Mario Bros, and Just Dance.
  • Apple Ipod Touch

My parents did not let me get a high-tech phone until I was a teenager. Looking back on this now, I appreciate them a lot for this. However, I was able to get an iPod touch as my first 'keyboardless phone" that did more than just text and call. I was able to download games on the iPod touch and listen to music and even had texting apps to converse with my friends somewhere that weren't the landline.
