Meeting my best friend
I met my best friend, Elizabeth Massie, in the 1st grade. She was introduced to our table as we worked on our Columbus day drawings; we drew a big boat. We've been buds ever since! -
New Home
My family started attending Firebrick Christian Baptist Church around this time, My church is my home, the people there are my family. We take care of each other, encourage each other, and hold each other accountable. There, I am surrounded by love and support. God meets with me there and helps guide my life. -
Great Grandmother passing
My Great Grandmother passed away on this date. It was my first real experience with loss. She was very special to me, and her death motivated me to become a better version of myself. -

I began taking this course about a week ago. Reading and phonics are two subjects that are so basic that they seem impossible to teach. I hope I can learn effective strategies that will help me to inspire a love and confidence for literacy within my students.
