    Parents divorce
I actually don't know what day this happened, all I remember was it was in January. My dad sat my brother Carson and I down and told us they were getting a divorce. Carson started to cry and all I could think was "Pft-what's he crying about? Dad just told us we get to live in TWO houses!" Clearly, I was a little too you to understand the implications.

    Moved to Kyrene School District
I was very excited to go to a new school; I loved the idea of meeting new people. My mom moved from my dad's house in Chandler to Tempe and though we lived at both houses, they wanted us to go to school near my mom's house. aUnfortunately, I had a bad case of lice a couple months before I started my new school so my dad gave me a bowl cut. And I looked like a pretty little boy.

  • My Little Brother Was Born

I was so excited the morning my brother was born! I still remember going from the hospital to school smiling from ear to ear, ready to tell everyone about Caden. • High School Graduattion

    High School Graduattion
This was the first time I really started to question my parents and realize that clearly they are not right about everything. A major part of this was because the day I graduated was the day my mom checked herself into rehab. I started rebelling and living my own life apart from them and their church. It was a long rough road but I came out on the other side stronger and open-minded. I was so proud of myself for discovering my own beliefs and not letting other people tell me what's right.

    Started ASU
Going to ASU was a big deal for me. Not because I was going to college but because I went from a semi-sheltered life to the chaos of ASU dorm life. It was a long first year but it has played a huge part in who I am and for that, I am very thankful.

    Went to Africa
This has to be one of the most defining moments of my life. It's when I realize what I wanted to do, orphanage work in third world countries. I met the most amazing people and fell in love with the counrty.
