Developmental Psychology Lifespan Timeline Final

  • Period: to

    Infancy

  • Infancy Emotional Development

    Infancy Emotional Development
I was securely attached to my mother. She was there for me and did everything right to promote our relationship develop at the time. Very securely.
  • Infancy Cognitive Development

I had these two toys, both that my mom's best friend gave to me at birth. Buddy and bear, I couldn't go anywhere or do anything, like go to sleep, without them or I would panic. They were my best friends at the time.
  • Infancy Physical Development

I started walking when I was around early 9 month mark. I would always try and run when I got on my two feet before I could walk. I had two speeds, fast, and sleeping. That would lead to many busted skulls later in life.
  • Infancy emotional development

My temperament as a baby was pretty laid back. My mom always said as long as I had my gold and diamond soppy cup and my suede and silk diapers I was normally a go with the flow kind of baby child.
  • Period: to

    Early Childhood

  • Early Childhood Cognitive

My parents did like any parents do, they would have little objects and have words on them or cards that represented them and point to them.
  • Early Childhood cognitive development

    Early Childhood cognitive development
I was very into the things my dad was into since my mom did the care taking and my dad did the whole raise his son thing. Football, old rock music, the typical things that a 30 year old dude was into back in the 80's and 90's.
  • Early Childhood Emotional Development

It was the same as when I was an infant, I was either going fast or I was going to sleep. I was very energetic and interested in anything active I sunk my teeth into.
  • Period: to

    Middle and Late Childhood

  • Middle/Late Childhood Cognitive Development

    Middle/Late Childhood Cognitive Development
My dad and I would always throw the football outside all year around. At this age when I saw him walk in the room with the football, I knew that we were about to go outside and practice throwing and catching it rather than just seeing a football at five years old and being excited because it was a football. I knew I was supposed to throw it back to my dad and what to do with it as I got older and became better at the activity.
  • Middle and Late Childhood Physical Development

I got physical exercise very often. Whether it was at school in PE or when I got home. The kids around the neighborhood would play street hockey and bike races and such. I was active around probably 6-7 hours a day.
  • Middle and Late e Childhood Physical Development

It depended if I was riding a bike or building something. Riding a bike or foot races I'd use gross motor skills, but if we were building a ramp for our bikes or something like that we would use fine motor skills.
  • Middle and Late e Childhood Cognitive Development

When my parents were getting divorced I saw them arguing and I put two and two together and knew they weren't getting along and noticed certain things that later in life I looked back and saw I had the ability of great intuition.
  • Period: to

    Adolescence

  • Adolescence Cognitive Development

I had my Bar Mitzvah when I was 13 years old. I hated studying for it, it was terrible. Never learn Hebrew, worst language ever. But I was able to understand that I was going to get a lot of money and a huge party once I completed my bar mitzvah and it was a rite of passage to do that and understood the outcome of all my hard work.
  • Adolescence Emotional Development

I would say it would be Fatuous Love. My most important relationship was with my best friend. We went through everything together so it would definitely involve passion and commitment for being there for each other.
  • Adolescence Physical Development

I think I developed at a pretty normal rate so I don't think emotionally or intellectually that effected me in neither a good or bad way.
  • Adolescence Physical Development

I got physical exercise year round whether it was playing sports for school year round or summer going to summer camp. I stayed active into my adolescence because it became one of my favorite thing to do.
  • Adolescence Physical Development

I used gross and fine motor skills whether it was throwing a football and catching it, or wake boarding at the lake or riding our seadoos. The activities took both gross and fine motor skills.
  • Early Adulthood Cognitive Development

I began to tell the truth whenever I got in trouble. I saw no use for lying. I began to understand the value and impact of what the truth would do for me whether it was getting caught doing drugs or getting arrested, I'd never deny what I did.
  • Period: to

    Early Adulthood

  • Early Adulthood Physical Development

I have gotten exercise a little less due to the fact that I have had less and less time to exercise because I have added more and more activities that I value more than exercise to my life.
  • Early Adulthood Emotional Development

    Same as before, Fatuous Love
  • Early Adulthood Emotional Development

My current closest relationship is probably with my best friend. Different one than my adolescent years. We confide in each other in every aspect of our lives because we share the same experiences and personality traits.
