Dante studied at the University of Bologna, one of the most famou universities in the medieval world. His life began whe nhe fought bravely in a battle at Campaldino in 1829. By 1295 he was involed in political causes, and was elected the City Council that year. Later he began his great poem, The Divine Comedy. He became very known. Later he died, in Ravenna on September 13, 1321.
