    Atari Gaming System
I remember begging my parents to get me an Atari when my mom worked at Caldor. Believe it or not, I found it in a box in the attic when we were just moving to our new home! Image from Google images

    High School :Computer Lab"
My high school opened a small lab with 4 used TRS-80s. A computer programming course was opened during a study hall. I remember making my name run across the screen in an endless loop. (Google images)
  • Here comes college

    Here comes college
Once I was in college, there were many papers to be typed. It became very challenging to keep up with the work on our families electric typewriter, so I would drive to my college and wait my turn for one of the six computers in the small lab. Then I would save my work to a disk or print it out on a dot matrix printer. (Google images)
  • First Home Computer

    First Home Computer
After countless hours spent at the college lab, my parents invested in a computer at home that we could use for our papers. At this point, all of the research was still done the old fashioned way - at the library, with a card catalog, books, periodicals, and microfiche. (Google images)

It wasn't until 9 years later, once I was out of the house, that my husband needed a computer to do billing for work and we got our own at home. Years later we used it do our banking online. (Google images)
  • Technology All Around Me

    Technology All Around Me
I got my first cellphone in 2000 when I was pregnant with my oldest son. Since then, I've upgraded to a smart phone, purchased a lap top (or 2), got smart phones for my kids, an iPad for me, chrome books for 2 of the kids and a surface pro for the third one. All those years with no computer and now all of my devices keep me connected where ever I go. (Google images)
  • Smartboard

    Smartboard
Years later I attended a training on using a smartboard in my school. I was hooked and wanted to learn all about its bells and whistles so I could find new, engaging ways to reach my students. (Google images)
  • Back to School I Go

    Back to School I Go
After many years of being done with grad school, I enrolled in Marshall University's School Library Media Specialist certification program. That meant online learning and everything that goes along with it. I posted to my very first discussion board after I asked my children how to do that! (Google images)
  • New Home

    New Home
I found my new home and completed my entire mortgage process for this home on line. From the application process, to providing necessary documentation, and finding and scheduling repair services to come to the house. (Zillow)
