    The French Revolution began because the people of the third estate were starving and did not have the same rights as the 2nd and 1st estate even though the third estate had the most people by far. The third estate had to do something to change the government, so they revolted.
  • Tennis Court Oath

    Tennis Court Oath
    An Oath that the 3rd estate made in the middle of a handball court that said that they will not rest nor give up to the higher power. That they will fight for their natural rights.
  • The Guillotine

    The Guillotine
    The guillotine was a killing machine. It was an equal death for all people as everyone got their heads chopped off. The 3rd estate thought that it was more respectful to make a quick death than rather have everyone suffer. It was made of would and one blade. The blade would fall and slice the victims head off. This hole idea of piece belongs to Robespierre who later gets killed the same ways he kills thousands of people.

    The End of King Louis XVI
    The people of the 3rd estate decided that they did not need nor want a monarchy anymore. So the people decided to kill the king and queen.

    Napoleon takes charge
    Napoleon lead a large military into Austria and won, France was about to go down until Napoleon stepped in to save the day. Without Napoleon many believe the French empire would have just disappeared. Napoleon after the war against Austria kept pushing. He won most of the battles they fought with him in command. So the French people decided to make a decision.
  • A new Emperor

    A new Emperor
    The people of the 3rd estate saw how successful Napoleon could really be when he was in battle and decided they wanted to be that successful as a country. So Napoleon was appointed emperor of France in hope of a successful future.
