Plan creating consists of 5 major strategies.
-

- Connect goals to ultimate happiness.
- Frame your life

- Take stock along the way

Happiness is defined by three things says Dr. Seligman. "High emotions, involves actions, and has meaning" (Page 12).
-
"The most important thing to remember is that these are your goals, not your parent's, your teacher's, or anyone else's" (Page 11). Do not let outside forces persuade your goals!
-
"Think through a simple list of life priorities..." (Page 12). These priories include family, faith, friends, wealth, social status, profession, and education. Make a goal that benefits all of these areas!
-
"Remember that success is never one huge leap" (Page 13). Say you want to gain weight. You are not going to do it in under a week! It takes time and effort towards your goal. Make it measureable and go after it!
-
"... We need to be careful with ourselves because goals can also be a source of anxiety" (Page 13). Always keep your past successes in mind so the anxiety does not take over and get in the way of your goal!
