I had always wore glasses growing up, but once I was able to fix my cross eye, me and my mod made sure we could get that done. Before the surgery I was so nervous, but after I was so happy that I didn't have to wear glasses before. Once I went back to school, I had to wear an eye patch and constantly step out of class to stop the burning I had. It was cool to see all my friends and teachers in school come together and help me whenever I needed something.

My dad has been a cop in New York City for 23 years and the stuff he does really makes me appreciate him and what he does every single day. He is always working late nights and even sleeps in his office because he works all night, and then works in the morning. During quarantine he is working extra and has been to work almost everyday, helping whoever he can. Many of the values that make me work hard come from him and he also coached all my teams growing up, even while working.

My mom and dad had this dog, Hank since I was born and he had always been one of my best friends. He was loving and I loved playing with him. When I was around 6, he passed away from kidney failure and it really affected me and I can remember I was sad for weeks after. I have had 3 dogs since then and I had to learn that dogs are the most precious soles and that we have to live every second to the fullest because we never know what could happen to them, or us.

Me, my brother and sister love eachother very much, but like any family we are always fighting. In this picture I am crying because my sister was annoying me, and you can see my brother looking on laughing at how ridiculous I look. Growing up with a older brother and younger sister showed me that sometimes you have to fight back in certain situations, but in others it is better to comprimise and do what is best for everyone.

When I was 12 me and my baseball team went Cooperstown, New York for a tournament and to see the baseball Hall of Fame. I got to stay in a dorm with all of my best friends and do one of my favorite things, play baseball. On the trip I got to meet people from all over the country and even a team from Japan. I got to see that for the most part, humans are similar and we all love to have fun at that young age. We only won 1 game, but It still was so much fun and an experience I will never forget.

Every Year me and my family go away on vacation. We squeeze about 30 people into one house and have all the fun we can possibly have. Me and my cousins go into the water for hours together, playing games and boogie boarding. Some of my cousins I do not see often, so it is important to spend as much time as I can with them. I don't use my phone at all that whole week and it really feels like all that matters is what is happening in the moment. It shows me that there is more to life then my phone.

When I was around 13 me and my team won the Championship for the State title in Connecticut. We worked hard all season and definitely deserved the title. We were seen as underdogs as we had to play the top two teams in our league, who we had previously lost to. We never stopped fighting and won 2 very close games. I was one of the captains on the team and in those tight games I learned how to be a leader vocally, but also by leading by example and giving my all no matter who we played.

I have played hockey since I can remember and I have always wanted to play for my school on the hockey team. I always went to the games when I was a kid and loved every second of it. When I was a freshman I could not wait to try out for the team. When I made it I was so proud and loved every second of it. In one of our first games I was lucky enough to start and the feeling I got was amazing. Playing on the team as a freshman helped me grow up faster and get better at the game I love so much.

Being able to drive was always something I have wanted to do. When I was younger I always drove quads, moved around my parents cars in the driveway and even went golfing, just to drive the golf cart for my dad. I love driving so much to this day and always offer to drive anyone whenever they need. When I had my permit I drove every chance I had and worked very hard to make sure that I would pass my test, and I did with a 90%.

Along with the whole country, me and my family have been in quarantine and social distancing from family and friends. It had been tough since my family is very close and we usually see eachother every week. Here, me and my uncle stayed away from each other, but still took a picture for my birthday. Not being able to mess around with him and hug my family will really make me cherish the moments we have when we can finally touch again.
