    Determined to win their territory back Egypt and Syria launched the Yom Kippur War. This was a surprise attack against Israel in 1973.

    Jimmy Carter invited Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister, Menachem Beginto Camp David to help facilitate the peace agreement. This agreement was between Egypt and Israel which was a big step forward for them.
