  • Reading the script

We read the script of Bad Education, we revised over our lines and planned out who was going to be what character.
  • Planning

Once we figured out who was playing what character, we had to decide on which camera angles and shots we were going to use, for example in the scene where the head teacher calls the teacher in we tried to make sure that the head teacher could be seen through the glass, we also wanted to have a match cut when the teacher opens the door so we took this a couple times from him opening the door then coming inside.
  • More planning

We then created a storyboard to see exactly which shots we were going to use, we drew all the characters and wrote what we were going to do and some of the characters lines.
  • Filming

Since this prelim wasn't that long we filmed it in one day, we filmed all the scenes. However looking back on it now I don't think it was as successful because we have some scenes that arent straight and we had to keep refilming because our actors forgot their lines or didn't say it in character. However some things were good like the range of shots that we had we had extreme close up of one the actors feet and we had match cuts etc.
  • Editing

We started editing by using final cut pro, We picked all the shots that we liked and then we put them into order, then we cut down the bits that we don't need and we had to slow down the teacher coming inside the room because the match cut wasn't the same speed and this looked odd, so we slowed it down a little bit but not enough to notice that its been slowed down. This didn't take long to do and we then added credits at the end of the video.
