  • Cops!

    Cops!

When I was in 3rd grade, I had this burning question in my head: What happens if you call 911 and hang up immediately? I did it, and to no one's surprise, nothing happened; until something happened. The lady calls back, "Hey- sir, you called 911 and hung up is everything okay?" I was in shock and I said "Uh- yeah- I- I just wanted to see what would happen if I called and then hung up-" She asked for my number and adress and two cops showed up banging on my door. My dad was less than pleased.
  • Suspension

    Suspension

If you're in my grade, you already know about this, it was spread around like crazy. I posted a really stupid thing on my snapchat story. People took it seriously and spread it around, and it reached the attention of the school and next thing you know, the day after the post, two sherrifs knocked on my door. Just goes to show that you have to watch what you say on the internet, as it can be blown so insanely out of porportion. I got two months of suspension.
  • Fall Choral Concert

    Fall Choral Concert

This was my first concert in the high school, and we got to wear tuxedos and everything. I was in men's choir as well as concert choir, and I was feeling good enough for a solo in the men's choir. I sang that solo fairly well too, as far as I was concerned nothing could go wrong... until it did. Right before my solo began, I made the mistake of sighing into the microphone. The entire audience laughed. Then for my other solo I forgot to go up to the microphone and I looked stupid.
  • New Piano Keyboard

    New Piano Keyboard

Ever since 2017 I've had this passion for the piano. No idea what about it sparks so much joy, but I've been in love with the instrument for forever. It took BEGGING my dad for an 88 key dollar keyboard for him to finally cave, and sure enough, on my birthday I got to wake up to this beautiful looking white keyboard. It was cheap for an 88 key keyboard, but it gets the job done. It kinda sucks though, because now I've reached the point where I need a teacher and I don't touch it much anymore.
  • Power Outage

This is one of the worst experiences I've ever endured in my old house. My house was quite literally in the middle of nowehere, I mean our front yard was the highway. So, when the power goes out, it gets rough. There was a tropical storm that totally wiped out our power and it was terrible. No running water, no cooking, no AC. Cell phone towers were knocked too, so no one had service. We had to sit in the blistering heat with nothing to do for two days, but I quickly adapted.
  • New House

    New House

I'll never forget the day. It was sunday morning when my dad walked into my room and said, "You ready?" My (now old) house was admittedly really disgusting, as I have three little siblings that don't clean up after themselves. The house itself was already falling apart, so there was a lot of cleaning up to do. We cleaned from 8am-10pm before we finally got to lay down in our brand new, sparkly clean house. A part of me still misses that old dirty house, and all of the memories that I made there.
  • Passing Out (for the first time!)

Passing Out (for the first time!)

This came as a surprise to everyone, as it was so sudden and quite honestly, weird. I was standing in the shower, y'know, showering, and all of a sudden things start turning black. I can feel myself spinning, and all I can remember is trying to grab a hold of something while I was spinning around and waking up on the floor. I was so confused, like I had no idea what just happened. My parents took me to the ER, long story short we still don't know why I passed out or what influenced it.
  • Arrest

    Arrest

I can't tell you why, but my mom was pulled over, I was in the car. I sat in the grass waiting for what felt like two hours, waiting for something to happen. Long story short, I watched her get arrested. My brother, who lived in the area (PA), picked me up and brought me home. The last time I saw my mom was when my brother dropped me off to grab my things. She was in shambles, saying how terribly sorry she was. Nothing can match the fear I felt, knowing I probably wouldn't get to see her again.
  • Seizure

On halloween last year, my step mom had a seziure. Now, this wasn't the first time its happened, but it was the first time it happened where I got to be home for it. The day is a blur but I remember trying to calm down my siblings while my father tried to wake her up. The house eventually filled with paramedics and police officers which just scared the kids more. She woke up about ten minutes after the seizure and all I heard her say was "where are my kids?" She was still taken to the hospital.
  • Footloose

    Footloose

My friends decided to pressure me into doing the musical because I'm supposedly "really talented." Of course I was hesitant, but after months of rehersals I made so many new friends and even found myself a new love interest. So many good things came out of this musical, AND I got a lead (which, I didn't expect at all.) Participating in footloose was no doubt the best decison I've ever made and I'll always be thankful of the experiences I got to have because of it.
