The Gupta empire had been very peaceful the military had decreased in strength. So when the Huns attacked they easily broke through the outer forces of the Gupta and they slowly caused a reduce in power. The leaders after Skanda Gupta were weak and not able to drive out the Huns.

Marcus Aurelius was considered the last of the good emperors of Rome. After he dies his son Commodus takes power, but he was a poor leader who clubbed people to death. When he dies it is crazy with all of the military leaders claiming to emperor.
