    Mesopotamian Civilization

    Mesopotamia is considered to be the first city to develop and is known for the births of multiple empires. This region problems with unpredictable floods which made it hard for the people to start domesticating. Over time they build irrigation system that helped them produced crops and eventually domestic animals. Political powers was in the hands of the kings who were considered to be the chosen ones by the gods.

    Egyptian Civilization

    Egypt was located in an area that was great for agriculture because it only flooded once a year. Centralized states were able to be established due to agriculture. Kings claimed they were favored by god, this gave them more legitimacy to rule. Egyptian accomplished building great architectures and started trading with Mesopotamia.

    Indus Civilization

    Indus civilization flourished around the Indus river basin. They were greatly influenced by Egyptian and Mesopotamian cultures. The people practice polytheism and was able to use the irrigation systems of Mesopotamia to help them create a stable society.

    Chinese Civilization

    China is a nation of dynasties after one another. Each dynasties expanded Chinese land even further more and spread it's cultures. Power transfer was based on lineage and in order for someone to become the next emperor they had to have blood connection. Chinese dynasties controlled most of the silk road which further help it spread more of their ideas to neighboring nations.

    Greek Civilization

    Greek had two city-state system which created a division between cultural ideas on how to govern the people. There were multiple wars between the states which ended in Sparta winning the war.Greece conquered many lands with the Help of Alexandra the Great who spread the empire all the way to Egypt. This helped spread Greek cultures and ideologies to these conquered nations.

    Middle East Civilization

    This region is well known for its discovery of Islam. This region expanded it ruling all the way to Europe, Asia and Africa. It introduced many different arts, architecture, writing and number system with it's spread of Islam. Most of the trade routes were controlled by this region.

    Persian Civilization

    Persian empire was the first to create a smooth communication routes for ideas, beliefs, and art between nations. This empire build huge empire by conquering neighboring nations and adopted others culture and mixed it with theirs. They were great with architecture and weaving which made their culture a colorful vibrant one. Persian believed in Zoaristrianism which was one of the first monotheistic religion.

    Mesoamerican Civilization

    Mesoamerica is a region with complex cultures and religions. In this region there was a constant fighting between different tribes over power. For example Mayans tried to rule the people by taxing commodities so that they can stay in charge. This is similar to the way the Mongols kept those they conquered under their control.

    Andean civilization

    The Andean societies were located in South America and part of Central America. Its location helped the people to be able to produce different crops.Their believed in polytheistic religion and respected the rulers like they were gods. Some of the accomplishment made by these societies are development of pottery and beautiful art structures.

    Byzantine Civilization

    Byzantine empire was created from eastern portion of Rome and part of the Arabian nations. This region was well know for basing it's powers on the authority of the church and worldly powers. The Empire was successful in creating a strong trade partners with Egypt which flourished it economy.

    Roman Civilization

    Romans are known for conquering many nations with different cultures and religious beliefs. Rome is consider to be the place where Christianity gained most power after Constatine legalized it as the official religion. Rome had many conflicting ideas about how the government should be ran and who should ran it.

    African Civilization

    There multiple empires that arose from Africa during the post-classical era along important trade route that connected Africa to the Middle East. Also Islam reached Africa through Arab merchants. African Empires flourished quickly due to the imported goods like gold, ivory and salt. These empires eventual fell due to conflicts between them that was caused by greedy emperors.

    Incas civilization

    The Inca empire start to build their cities and began organizing communities of farmers. This Empire prosper and expanded through conquering neighboring nations. They spread their ideologies and religions to other communities while on their quest to conquer all tribes.

    Mongolian empire was one of the largest empire in history that conquered wide lands in short period of time. The way they ruled the conquered nations was by taxing them and allowing those who follow the mongol laws to keep their leaders rule. Mongols contributed to civilization by introducing advanced gun powder, mathematics and astronomy.

    Polynesian were spread all around the Pacific Ocean and were mostly fisherman. They domesticated animals and cultivated plants as they moved more into the east side.Polynesian artistic tradition flourished throughout this region.
