    In the Chinese Revolution, "The People" began to realize that they have to do something about their government and reform their country, and so, " The people" revolt against the corrupt government. However they struggle in their lives after doing so.

    After the Chinese were defeated by the British in the Opium war, the chinese were forced to signthe Treaty of Nanjing that opened up 5 major ports to British trade and to give britain ownership of hongkong and giving the briish a place to live in china, but " the people did not agree with this

    This was a rebellion against the Qing dynasty and was a civil war between the Qing dynasty and "the people" due to it, ,many warlords had power and started to give land to europeans for money.

    This rebellion was when "The Boxers" went through China killing foreigners who came to china and Chinese Christians. But was crushed by the Qing dynasty, and forced china topay for the damage cause to the foreigners

    In 1911 China faced it's first revolution and ended the 2000 years of chinese imperial rule. The revolt was led by Sun Yat sen. This revolt began through corruption,peasant unrest, and ineffective government, and finally " the people" had enough.

    In order to remove foreign influence and the powerful landlords of China, the Chinese Chinese and Nationalist Party form an Alliance. They called themselves the Revolutionary Army and by 1927 they had taken over most of china. But neither of them trusted each other, Later Chiang Kai Shek, Leader of the Nationalist party Massacred members of the Communist party.

    There were 2 major powers of China during the time, The Nationalist and Communist party. The Communists had an advantage because they made people like them and the majority of Communists were "the People" and promised to remove corruption. Once defeated, the Nationalist party fled to Taiwan

    The Great Leap Forward was an action taken by Mao Zedong(the leader) where he created communes that was basically a farm where everybody worked at and tried to produce as much materials as possible, this led to disaster as many produced not enough food for themselves and starved

    This was another action taken by Mao Zedong where Mao encouraged educated people to comment on what they think about communism, However this was a trick as they rounded up those who disliked communist and sent them to prison camps or executed. To do so, he created the red guard, a military police force.
