The students were outraged by the Treaty of Versailles so they gathered and started protesting in the center of Beijing. Then the movement gathered more people, workers, manufacturers, shopkeeprs. People started talking about communist ideas, -
Chinese Communist Party
Chinese intelectuals started talking about Marx's beliefs and about the Soviet Union ruled by Lenin. They thought that Lenin had a great idea of political and economic change ideas. They founded the Chinese Communist Party, one of its founders was Mao Zedong. -
The unification of the Parties
Kuomintang was allied with the Communist party. Lenin started helping China by sending military equipment to the Nationalists, also, Lenin trained some Nationalists leaders in Moscow. -
Cummunists are killed
Under Jiang Jieshi, new chinese kuomintang leader, went to Shanghai with Nationalist troops killed a lot of communists leaders and traded members in the streets. This was repeated in other cities. Started wiping out chinese communist Parties. -
Jiang becomes President
Jiang Jieshi becomes president of the Nationalist Republic of China. The Soviet Union don´t accept them as a government due to the communist massacre.

Chinas economy was collapsing, so the country was weak and is not stable. The Red Army took over the biggest and most important cities in China. -

Mao gained control of the country and named himself as the president of the People´s Republicof China. The Nationalist were send to Taiwan.
