    1818 BuildingI was born in a big home. I was the second boy and child in the family. Government didn't like me and wanted to kill me. My parents left me on the streets and left. A women in poverty found me a decided to raise me. I was raised in a poverty village where all the homes were little tents very cloe to each other.

    Chinese PovertyI still lived in poverty on the streets of China. Many families all around me are also suffering from poverty. My home is made of a stick and tree brach sculpture with a waterproof blanket for my roof. I worked as a guard for the government with almost no pay in return. Once I heard that there is gold across the ocean I knew what I had to do.

I stay on Angel island for 5 months in a small shack with bad living conditions. This is still better than my old way of life. Many chinese people are waiting to leave the Island for San Francisco.

As we walk the streets in San Francisco looking for a home, we are badly mistreated and threatened. My friend was shot just for being Chinese. We find a home and spend all we got on it. It is a second floor apartment room.

    Gold RushI now head to the gold rush fields to strike gold. I am supposed to pan it from rivers. My wife also helps pan for gold somewhere else. I am lucky and pick up $100,000 worth of gold from the rivers. My wife got nothing so we decide to leave. On the way out I am forced to protect my gold as people try to pick a fight with me. I have a lot of muscle and is able to fight them all off.

    Transcontinental RailroadI am now 44 years old and I have a job to hammer spikes into rails starting from Sacremento, California. I take a walk on one of my first days when Indians kidnap me. The next day our camp has a battle with the Indians and wins. When no Indians are around I escape their camp and flee straight for home by foot. I find a person headed to Utah with a horse and wagon and decide to ride along. My wife and I make our new home in Omaha, Utah where I grow an orchard
