Nationalism grew because Chinese people wanted to be free from foreigners.So, Qing tried to make rebellion called Boxer rebellion , but it wasn't supported by Chinese people because Qing wasn't Chinese.Finally, the Boxer rebellion wasn't successful , and the Qing dynasty was deteriorated.

The uprising itself broke out largely by accident. Revolutionaries intent on overthrowing the Qing dynasty were building bombs and one accidentally exploded. This led police to investigate, and they discovered lists of revolutionaries within the New Army. The provincial government and the Qing emperor panicked,fled and failed to respond for a crucial .Finally, Sun Yixian was chosen as provisional president.

The Nationalists that were taken control by Jiang Jeishi and Communists that were taken control by Mao Zhang had the different thoughts . Jiang Jeishi though that he should be the leader,but Mao Zedong though the people should choose their own leader.It became Civil War.The Nationalist trooped against the Communists.So, they attacked communists.

Mao's government controlled everything, or set up command economy.They had a Five Year Plan to increase industry and develop agricultural production.

Mao asked to be criticized.He caught his opponents and they were sent for"re-education".

Mao changed China from agricultural to industry.People could live, work and share food together.There was not enough food, and 18 million to 45 million people died.

Mao made many mistakes.He tried to make people forget it by using dirty tricks.For example, he closed school, killed many old people ,and burned a lot of history.

Mao died from complications of Parkinson's disease.The Chinese look at him like a grandfather of China.
