    Boxers Rebellion
    The Boxers otherwise known as the society of the rightous and harmonous fists, lead an uprising against foriegn influnece on China.They killed foreginers, chinese, christians, and damged foriegn property. In response western powers united together to form an international army .Several hundred forigners were killed while several thousand chinese were killed. The rebellion ended with the signing of the boxer protocol.

    the long march was a retreat taken by red army of the communsit party of china.to avoid the chines nationlist army or the kmt. the march began mao zedong's rise to power whose leadership during the reatreat gave him the trust of the members of the party.in 1949 the nationlists were defeated and china became the People's Repulic of China

    due to mao leading the revolution the communist party gained control.mao preached an idea that appealed to the poor.to end their suffering in the lower class. animals machines and land were given to peasnts. banned forced marriages. consumer goods wre now second importance. mao restored order promoted food production built schools extended basic heath care and promised a new and improved china

    Cultural Revolution

    Mao Zedong lanched the cultural revolution in order to reassert his power over the chinese government because he believed that current leaders were taking china in the wrong direction. mao asked the nations youth to fix that.to purge the bad elements of china and revive the spirit. he shut down school and formed the red guards who attacked china's elderly and some of high intelligence. eventualy mao passed away and the cultural revolution faded away. but it still leaves a mark on china forever.
