    Persia

    Darius called on Greeks to build massive buidings in Persia. He also tried to conquer Athen and Thebes. Thebes was willng to make agreements with Darius, but Athens fought back and eventually drew the Persians out. The next King named Xerxes tried the same thing with Greece and also failed but did rule Afghanistan,Turkey and Egypt until until he was later conquered by Alexander the Great.

    Persia

    After leaving central Asia, the Persian decided to look for a different area to live in. The first King was named Cyrus wasnt seen until 559. Cyrus went on to conquer the whole of West Asia, allowing each country to remain practicing their own beliefs and religions even though he believed in the Zoroastrian belief. He later died in 530 and his son Cambyses took over and conquered Egypt. In 521, Darius took over the throne and started builing many palaces and buildings in the city,

    Mycenaean Greece

    The Mycenae people were from an Island near the coast of Peloponnesus. The adopted many Minoan cultures and religious beliefs and eventually ruled for a period of time in Crete. They went to live on in Greece along with the cultural beliefs they had taken along with them. They belived they were great warriors and heroes. This ime is also named the heroic age as there were many warriors at the time.

    Mycenaean Greece

    The Mycenaean people like to show off their wealth with the amound of weapons they had. They were also able to write many events down and their language was advanced. In regards to their belief, they worshipped many Gods.
    Most of their palaces were built on the hill tops in order to receive rain water as the soil was dry and was hard to grow crops. They became very good fishermen to help them survive.

    Greece is located in Europe and it is believed that civilisation began at around 800 B.C. Ancient Greece had had many city staes each with their own set of rules and laws. The 2 states that had ongoing issues between each other were Athen and Sparta. Greece was a democratic country and it is thought that the Western culture was heavily influenced by the teachings of the Greeks. Other areas such as maths, science, philosphies and the like were also adopted by the west.

    In 218 B.C in the second punic war hannibal invades Italy.In 45 BC Julius Caesar was the first dictator of Rome. Julius defeats Pompey and fights in a civil war to become the supreme of Rome.On 43 B.C Julius is assassinated and are trying to get the republic back. In 27 B.C the first Emperor arrives and is named Caesar Augustus.In 80 AD Colosseum is built and the Colosseum seats 50,000 spectators.

    Rome is located in Italy. Rome has the largest civilizations of any other history. In 753 B.C Rome was founded. As they believe Romulus and Remus had found the city.After Romulous killed Remus and was ruler of the city and named it after himself.From then Rome has bean ruled by kings ever since. In 509 B.C Rome becomes a republic. When the last king was overthrown then cenators were ruling Rome.

    Religion played a big role in democracy and every day living. They believed in many Gods and the youth were highly influenced by philosophers like Socrates and Plato.
    Men generally worked on the farms and other jobs like army, craftsmen etc while the women would stay at home and look after the children.
    A well known and highly regarded man named Alexander the Great was King in Greece and won many wars such as the war against Persia in 333 B.C as well as conquering Egypt in 332 B.C

    Alexander would later call his city Alexandria. Another well known Pharoah was Cleopatra who was the last.Egyptians invented a form of writing called hieroglyphics.They also used papyrus plant as paper. Other inventions include ship building, mathematics and medicine. Houses were built out of mud due to hot temperatures.People would sometimes bath in the Nile.
    There were many jobs in Egypt such as farmers, who would grow wheat through to craftmen and traders.Women could gert high jobs as well.

    Egypt is located along the Nile which is NE of Africa. Egypt had dynasties and kingdoms and the dynasties alone are believed to have lasted over 3000 years.
    It is thought that it started with small villages in the upper and lower part later combined by Pharoah Menes. The pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx were built during this period. In 653 the assyrians conquer, followed by the Persions in 528 followed by Alexander the Great and the Greeks in 332. They worshipped idols belived to be Gods.

    At around the 400 B.C time, India was attacked by the Huns and invaded by the Muslims who took over Delhi Sultanate.Tehy wer also attacked by the Mongols in the north maily.

    After the Kings death,Babylon was taken over by the Kassitis followed by the Assyrians and then later conquered by King Nabopolassar who brought it back to the way it formerly was.
    Babylon was seen as a very cultural place that was a major attraction for trade and inventing new items. It had beautiful trees, gardens and certain buildings that made it stand out more than any other country.

    The Harrapun people first started building structures near the Indus river now known as Pakistan.The city later crumbles and new travellers from central asia took over were the fusion of many religions became what is called Hinduism also known as the Vedic system. The vedic people also took over Northern India which was later attacked by the Persians and Alexander the Great.
    There were many small Kingdoms in India such as the Mauryan kindom and the Guptan Kings which were powerful at the time.
  • Babylon

    The city of Babylon was always a city state Mesopotamia. After the Akkadian empire crumbled, a King named Hammurabi took over the throne and ruled the city state but he also wanted to rule other city states also. this King had a code of laws that had to be followed. They included such things as rules for marriage, trade, adoption and punishments for many types of criminal acts like stealing etc. It was a successful and active city state that housed more than 200,000 people at one point.

    Minoan Crete was an Island that the Greeks happened to find one day whilst sailing. It was a beautiful Island that had a civilisation that was very advanced for its time. The Island was filled with massive palaces, one even had 1500 rooms. In 1700 a massive earthquake hit the Island and the palaces and biukding were destroyed. However these were rebuilt. Farming and trade were very popular as the people of Crete were good at sailing and would swap their crops for jewels and gems.
  • Minoan Crete

    The Cretens were very smart in trading and therefore lived in a better than normal way. Their houses were usually 4 bedrooms and a flushing toilet was available even back then. Although they were never conquered, a very big volcano erupted in 1620 and completely crumbled the Island but the Cretens still went on to live there. It wasnt until a fire, thought ot be lit by the Greeks was lit and burnt the city that nothing was rebuilt.
  • Sumer

    Sumer is located in southern Mesopotamia,which is between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers which is part of the Middle East. Historians predict that Sumers first cities and town were formed around 5000BC.These cities and towns would later be named the "Cradle of Civilisation". Eridu was the first major city of Sumer. Each city had its own ruler or King and would protect itself by building large walls made from sun dried bricks as it was normal for the cities to sometimes fight.

    The most famous ruler was named Gilgamesh. Each city and its ruler belived in so called gods and would worship them. There were differnt classes of people. The King, priest and wealthy were upper class, the middle were traders and merchants, the lower were farmers etc and below that were the slaves. Before cities grew they would hunt and gather but later worked in many areas
    The Sumerians are most popular for their inventios such as the dried bricks,wheeled vehicles and irrigation for farming.

All together China was ruled by Emperors for over 200 years. Before the empire, the land was owned by lords who had farmers work then. It was later that men called civil officials would collect tax from the towns. There were 3 religions that were followed together calle Taoism, Confusianism and Buddhism.
