When I was a child this was the type of computers we had in the school office. No one else has access to them. -
Childhood computer
As a child , the only computer that was available for use was at the principles office and it was considered what today we would call typewriters but with a screen. -
Computer disks of my childhood
If one was luck enough to have a computer, the floppy disks were a necessity that one had to have to record information. -
My own radio
Through the years technology got more advanced, and people would be able to listen to music with tapes on a tape recorder, but you could insert headphones into the tape recorder. -
Audio recordings
As with music, if you wanted to listen to recordings, you would set up a microphone next to a tape recorder. The tape recorder would catch what you were trying to say,and you could pause or playback the audio on the tape. -
Good bye floppy disks
Once technology started to get more advanced, floppy discs went away and were a thing of the past as computers started to use cds instead. -
Rewinding and Rewinding
This was the time where if you or your family wanted to watch a movie, you would have to buy a video tape at the video store. Once you bought your video tape, you would have to put it in your vcr, which is a machine that played the movie on your tv. If you wanted to re-watch your movie, you had to push rewind on the vcr and it would re-wind the tape. -
Wow it flips!
During this time, the most exciting thing about getting a phone was the fact that you could turn it side ways and it would have a keyboard for you to type messages with. -
What time is it?
Along with tablets becoming like portable touch screen computers, new devices such as apple watches came in to play. Like any watch, this device also told what time it was, but it also gave people access to messages and the internet. -
My moving Computer
With technology upgrading more and more, gadgets such as tablets came in to play. This device became like a portable computer without a keyboard. It's most defining feature was that it was a touch screen. -
The future is now!
Technology of course will always keep advancing, especially during this time period where phones are like tablets, but they can be split in half so that you are able to do two things at once with a touch screen.
