    feminism at its finest

I started walking at 11 months old and I would always refuse to hold my dads hand while learning. i was always such an independent and rebellious girl when it came to this stuff (riding my bike, running off, not listening etc.) I would never listen to a male figure.. ever. I have 3 uncles and no aunts so I was always kinda learning stuff on my own. i feel as if this was the start of my character development... I guess some things never change
  • spotty!

    spotty!

this was my first ever pet of my own. this day started the beginnings of my animal love. ever since spotty I knew, and my whole family knew I was going to grow up to do something related with animals. to this day I could tell you everything about most animals and what they think from their actions. I rescued another one this day aswell from a rabbit meat slaughter house for 5 dollars each. we also found out shortly after that spotty was pregnant. we had rabbits for quite a while...

first time meeting my grandparents (and remembering)

my mother is from Latvia which is a very small European country. for about 6 months I actually lived there (I dont remember) and I have a dual citizenship. my grandmother passed away before I could remember meeting her and it was only until 2016 I came back. I met my grandfather and my step grandmother aswell as some cousins I didn't know existed. it was actually really cool to see how and where my mother grew up. one thing I specifically remember was how tall everyone was, my uncle is 6'6...

    award after award

I've always been ahead of the game when It comes to academics its not much because I want to do well, its more of I want to please others. starting from young age I suppose I put myself up on a pretty high pedestal of what I can do. it can get tiring a lot of the times and I burn out pretty quickly but it keeps me going knowing that I can do it.

    ski team

by far one of the best choices I've made, I have made so many friends older and younger. this is where I feel my best. mr Bellucci by far is one of the best coaches and influences I have in my life. especially this year I don't think I've gone a single practice without falling horribly, but that's how this year I improved so so much. I was 8 places away from sectionals. I have been skiing for 13 years total and 3 of which have been ski team. I don't regret a single thing

    summer solstices

this is my beautiful mom <3 every year for as long as I can remember, she has hosted summer solstices. she has her cousins come over and the Latvians she knows but she doesnt mind others who aren't! we have just as much fun! summer solstice parties are very prevalent in her Eastern European culture. on these days we would eat Latvian dishes and make flower crowns and dance and have a big fire going. it is always the first thing I think about when it comes to her heritage. I think its beautiful.

    first time "sneaking out"

Jessi and me were bored one day and we decided it would be a great idea to either go to the city or go to compo beach. we went with the beach as it was easier. we didn't tell either of our parents and told them we were going to the bike trail because we knew they wouldn't want us to go so far. I not thinking posted a picture of the sunset on my story and put where I was. my brother unknowingly told my mom "oh charlottes in compo beach? that's so cool". since then, I've had a tracker on my phone.
  • my first job

    my first job

PetKraze! this was my first job ever. I applied and got the job on the spot. I made some amazing friends there and learned so so so much. there were times where I would work 5 out of 7 days out of the week which was a lot don't get me wrong, but it gave me peace as there wasn't much time to think. the dynamic changed eventually and it became a place I despised and when my favorite manager was leaving, I put my two weeks in. then we caused a massive staff shortage.
  • my sweet baby

    my sweet baby

I've had many pets but these guys top all of them. my first rat, daisy white)was rescued from PetKraze from being turned into snake food after being separated from her babies.she was such a sweetheart and was genuinely depressed after she got taken from her babies. i've wanted rats before her but I knew she was the one.the amount I have learned from her is truly amazing, now this might sound silly but she genuinely taught me what love is, seriously I don't think Ive loved a being more than her.

    poor little red car

2 days after I got my license I went to get cough drops at rite aid. such a simple trip. my 2003 Honda Element didn't think so. it didn't break in time before smacking into a little red car in front of me. I the man like furiously walked out of his car but he then calmed down when he saw a 16 year old girl on the verge of tears and was like no no its ok! even though I knew he would have lost it if I wasn't a lil girl. I was off the hook, then I violently cried in the middle school parking lot.
