Emporer of Ethiopia. He is the reason Ethiopia was the only country that successfully reesisted the Europeans. He made the Italians, French and the British fight with eachother since they all wanted Ethiopia. Menelik was building a large selection of modern weapons from France and Russia.

Italy was trying to take over northern Ethiopia so Menelik II declared war. They beat the Italians and continues building their stock of modern weapons.

The Dutch blamed the British for countries around the world wanting to South Africa to take part in the diamonds and gold discovery. The Dutch took up arms against them. This created the Boer War.

Britian won the Boer War and the Boer republics joined into a self-governing Union in South Africa that was ruled by the British.
