During the early 1720s' the Mugal Empire goes into a state of collapse andeventually dissolves in the 1750s'. With the Mugal Empire gone, other countries start to move in, especially Britain.

In the late 1790s' Britain takes over Java. By doing this they show off how domineering they were and they really were a force to be reckoned with. Not only did it show off their power, but it was an important post for trade.

In the early 1820s' Singapore grew into an important port. It increased trade in places like Britain and it is still growing and evolving today.

In the 1840s' Western powers were trying to get China to open up to trade, but the wanted to stay isolated. Britain really wanted to trade with them so, naturally they start a war with them. In the end, China unwillingly opens up to a limited amount of trade.

In the early 1850s' India realized the vast amounts of raw material in Burma and annexed Burma. Soon, they had control over the trade in Burma and made a ton of money.

Around 1857 to 1858 the British Empire faced a mutiny, The Indian Mutiny. The Sepoys rose up and slaughtered British in Delhi. Both British and Indians suffered loss but because of this mutiny, Britain started many reforms in India and cemented their rule.

In 1876 India faced real problems with the Great Famine. With a major drought in India, their crops failed and the people started to starve. Millions died as a result.

Up into the late 1890s' Southeast Asia had been getting colonized to the extreme. Countries, like Japan, that were not open to trade are now opening up again, Countries like Britain, France and the US are not only using the resources from the region but also as strategic miliatary posts.

France took over this area but most of the natives did not like this. Still, imperialsim grows in Indochina as a result of the industrial revolution.

Population increases by almost 350 million people in Asia from the 1700s' to the 1900s'. This comes as a result of new advances in medicine and the Industrial Revolution
