    Casey Gains a Sibling
I was fortunate enough to be an only child for the last four years of the 90's. For me, a new century and millenium also meant a new sibling. My sister, Diana, was born on the 27th of January, 2000.

  • Casey's Parents Get a Divorce

    Casey's Parents Get a Divorce
My parents split up shortly after I started school in 2001. It wasn't that bad: I still got to see my dad after he moved out, and the two of them conducted themselves in the most civilized manner they could.
  • Casey Gains a Best Friend

    Casey Gains a Best Friend
I had known my best friend, Svetlana, since she was the new kid in kindergarten, but we became friends when we were in grade 2. We totally get eachother, and we remain best friends to this day.
  • Casey Learns About Bullying

    Casey Learns About Bullying
When I was in grade 3, I accidentally hit a kid in the head with my locker door, and after that, he sure had a problem with me (Come on, I apologized!). He tried to trip me all the time, and said rude things to me (looking back, it wasn't that bad because he punched a few kids in the face and ended up getting expelled). That just made me realize that life is too short to put up with people who piss you off, so I was never really bullied again.
  • Casey Learns to Curl

    Casey Learns to Curl
My mom signed me up with some friends for curling when I was 8. From there, I totally fell in love with it. Although I don't play that competitively anymore, it remains my favourite (and only) sport. The culture that comes with curling remains a big part of my family.
  • RIP Dad

    RIP Dad
My dad passed away after liver failiure on April 6th, 2006 at the age of 48. He was a wonderful man, and I am greatful to have had a father like him.
  • Bonjour, Québec!

    Bonjour, Québec!
In the summer of 2010, I went on my first trip on an airplane to Québec with all the grade 8s from my elementary school. It was an amazing expirience, not to mention a ton of fun.
  • High School *cue horror music*

    High School *cue horror music*
I started high school at Collège Jeanne-Sauvé in September of 2010. At first, I was terrified to let go of my middle school days, but once I got there, I met a ton of cool people, and participated in a bunch of fun electives like band and Art.
  • Ah, Young Love *barf*

    Ah, Young Love *barf*
I got my first boyfriend in 2011. It was a fun time, and we dated for four months until he broke up with me. I was initially upset, but quickly got over it when I realized it was just a boy. It was a fantastic learning expirience because I made time to focus on what was really important in my life, and to conduct myself better among my peers.
  • Viva la Revolución!

    Viva la Revolución!
I took my first international flight on a trip to Cuba with my high school symphonic band in 2013. It was amazing: great music, new culture, and incredible bonding expiriences with my friends.

Last month, i embarked on the trip of my life. Me and 48 students and teachers from Collège Jeanne-Sauvé took a trip to Belgium and the north of France. It was the greatest cultural expirience of my life (so far), and I spent it with wonderful people.
