    This violent riot took place over one week. During which much of the city was burned and tens of thousands of people were killed. These riots stared at a chariot race where many people were angry at Justinan. They chanted harsh things and then started to revolt and this caused more people to riot for five more days.

    In the 630's the Islams or Arabs started by invading Syria and Egypt. They conquered the Byzantinians sounthern territories and then tried to invade Constantinople. The Byzantinians actually attacked the Islams even though they rarley ever did.

    Beginning around 986 Basil II insisded on conquering Bulgaria and eventually he did. He reached out to get help to defend borders with help from the Vanitians. Slowly year by year he defeated and conquered the Bulgarians.
