Redness of the skin on the breast or nipple ,An area that is distinctly different from any other area on either breast
-
Called my family doctor clinic and booked and appointment
earliest they could get me in was Monday April 8th -
doctor examines my breast expresses concern, sends me up to the hospital for ultrasound.
-
doctor is concerned with what he finds and tells me he is booking me for a biopsy. and I would get a call from Saskatoon next day or two
-
got the call from the cancer clinic in Saskatoon to book my biopsy
-
got to Saskatoon RUH to see Dr. Heg the cancer specialist. and got my biopsy done. (A breast biopsy removes a sample of breast tissue)
-
this was the longest 3 weeks of my life Tuesday April 28 I got the call that they wanted me in for a emergency MRI, there were traces of cancer cells in the tissue sample.
-
Well today I'm in RUH for my MRI but first there going to take some blood. after my MRI they sent me home to wait for a call
-
Dr. Heg called and it was urgent that I came in, seeing I lived 3 hrs away from Saskatoon he advised me to bring someone with me for support that they had found traces of cancer and I needed to be in to RUH asap to start treatment
-
I was advised there would be 4 rounds of chemo/radiation started first round each round was 2 days in hospital followed by 2 weeks at home resting.
-
feeling drained but made it to my second round
-
The second treatment never took that well and he said I will need to stay in the hospital till after recovery was done on the fourth so here I am ready for a long stay.
-
hoping this round is the last, I'm am weak and don't know if I can take any more
-
after bagging with the doctor to let me take my chances at home. I got home care booked in to come 3 times a week
-
