    The Time I Came Into the World
    This event impacted me because it was the first time of my existence. It also revealed to me that I am the youngest in my family, and was born 5 years after Amanda Yang was born (my older sister). At 11;00 am I was born in St.Micheal's Hospital, Toronto, to Tracy and Eric Yang. With a weight of 6 pounds and 13 ounces. I had a full head of black hair and was told that I was a very happy baby who smiled all the time.

    When my parents had moved into our current house, we introduced ourselves to our neighbors and coincidentally both neighbors had daughters that were the exact age as me. This event impacted me because they are the people that keep me grounded. They both have accepted me for who I am, have given me good advice, and have kept my actions in check. They are the people that will always have my back, and made me the person I am today. I am glad to call them my childhood friends.

    This event revealed to me that my father values his Taiwanese culutre, and would like for me to speak in Mandarin. He wanted to further my knowledge and speaking skills, so that not only will I be able to communicate with his part of the family, but also to learn a second language which could be useful in the future.

    The Time I Went To Taiwan
    It has revealed my father's histroy growing up. Annually we go as a family to spend time with my grandparents. We travelled all over the country together, tasted native foods, and learned their day to day routines. I was surprised to find that his family was very poor, and it is amazing to see that he grduated with a PhD and now we are a middle class family in Canada. I also heard stories and family history from relatives. It gave me a new found apreciation of how he persevred through life.

    This event has revealed to me my passion for music, how it is a universal language, and how it can lift others/myself 's mood instantly. My father forced into playing the piano at a young age as my sister has as well. Initially, I had no intrest, but gradually I learned to love how I could produce lovely sounds just by the touch of my fingers. I also learned how to play the trombone in middle school which soon led to playing in a band and participating in the Youth Toronto City Orchestra.

    This event impacted me because it was a traumatic experience that happened to me at a very young age. It has also changed me into a stronger person. There was a strong riptide that day and my aunt and I both got pulled out and was seperated. My cousin came to help me, but I was in a panic and the waves were giant. Eventually all of us were saved. I avoided the ocean for the next 3 years. This very event has revealed to me that the ocean is so beautiful, and I should not be afraid.

    This event has revealed to me my love for traveling around the world, and impacted me by creating experiences and memories that I will never forget. It was a surprise graduation gift for my sister and I got to tag along! We boarded the largest ship in the world named "Oasis of the Seas". It was magical inside as if it were a hotel and a mall. We traveled to Spain, France, and all over the cities of Italy. Every day was a 9hour tour of the amazing architecture and history behind these countries.

    The Time I Volunteered At The Toronto Ba'hai Centre
    This event changed me because I learned how to develop crucial skills in a workplace. I have a good relationship with the head caterer and work with other volunteers when we are preparing and serving food. It has taught me to communicate with others and to carry out orders promptly. It also has revealed an intrest in the food industry, and it also has impacted me in a way where I have completed all of my volunteer hours there, and decided to be in the SHSM Hospitality and Tourism Program.

    The Time I Graduated Middle School
    This event has impacted me because it shows the growth of moving on in life and has changed me in maturing and finding myself. The transition to middle school intitially was very difficult for me. I soon found a group of friends and teachers that supported me. I found many of my passions and my strengths and weaknesses. Middle school was a very comfortable and friendly enviroment, graduating from this forced me to get out of my comfort zone and meet new people.

    The Time Northview Girls Won the Flagfootball City Championships
    This event impacted me because this was the first sports team I had ever joined, and I found out that I enjoyed flag football. It has changed me because it boosted my self-confidence, created teamwork skills, and has disciplined myself. Last year, I knew that joining a team would be a great opportunity. I made new friends, met my seniors. I woke up at 6;00am every 3 days of the week, and never missed a pratice. Our hardwork payed off as we won gold on our first season ever as a rookie team.
