Leaving Ireland
After countless years of famine and overrulling of Great Britian, I, along with my two sisters leave our family behind to immigrate from Ireland to America. -
Arriving from Immigration
After a long, tretourous journey throught the sea. My sisters and I have finally arrived at Ellis Island, and into the urban state New York. -
Discriminated
After arriving, and settling into a makeshift home, I along with my two sisters get jobs, my sisters as chicken tenders, and I as a bartender. However we notice that other workers get higher pay, and we were being discriminated. -
Beat Down
The discrimination gets way too far by now. After a long, busy Friday night, I walked home to my two sisters. However just as I arrived to the building, I was ganged up upon by a group of bukly men attempting to fight me. Drunk or not, they were attempting to beat me, in which they did, my sisters noticed the incident and came to rush me to medical service. -
Medical Doctor Drain
After I fully recovered from my injuiries, the doctor unfourtunatley, gave us the medical which drained all of our money. I was fired from my bartender job, and my sisters could not make enough money a month to pay for rent, so we were kicked out and went into poverty. -
Poverty West
After a long 6-months in poverty, my two sisters decided I should move west, they had enough money to pay for everything. I accepted this deed, as poverty was not the greatest for us and I want more opportunities to find jobs, and also send money back to my two sisters so they can live in a house. So I began immigrating towards the urbanizing west! -
Arrivial
After a rough year or so, I finally arrive in the west of America, specifically Washington. -
New Logging Job
After a month looking for it, I finally found a higher-paying job as a logger. -
A New Worker
I am introduced to Sun Dixiang, a chinese immigrant who immigrated from China to get some money to send back to his family, while his brother came aswell, because of the Chinese Exclusion Act, his other family couldnt come. We befriended instantly. -
Arrival of the Family
My two-sisters announce using a telegraph, that they have enough money to move west with me and buy a house where we can all live together! -
After All
Now I am very close friends with Sun Dixiang and still keep in contact, I now have a beautiful wife and 2 children, a boy and a girl, and 6 and 8 respectively. I retired from my job and I live in a big house with my family. Sun Dixiang still works his job but has a very nice family and continues to live a happy life. His family even got to immigrate and join him. My two sisters are also married and live a happy too. I have a happy life with my family and the journey was tough but it was worth it
