Starting high school marked my first opportunity to take advanced academic classes. This had a huge impact on finding my place in academics.

My junior year of high school I had Mrs. Clemmer as my AP English teacher. Meeting her changed my life and inspired me to become a teacher. She is the single most influential person in my life.

I had a meeting scheduled with the Waynesburg Education Department to see if WU would be the right fit for me. Once I met Dr. Solomon and toured campus I knew this is where I wanted to spend my next four years.

After I graduated I began working at a small pizza shop in my town—Eatza My Pizza. I loved this job and the opportunity unity to connect to people in my hometown. This job taught me about being a team player.

On June 2, 2017, I graduated from AG with a 4.2 GPA and a class rank of 8. This moment instilled in me the drive to do even better academically in college and retain a 4.0 GPA.
