I started playing violin!
I started playing violin when I was 7 years old when I got my first violin for Christmas. My parents got one for my American Girl doll too. I had dreamed of playing the violin for a while, so when I got one I was so excited. I began taking lessons and played in a variety of concerts and made lots of friends. This was the first instrument I ever played and started my life in music. -
I joined the elementary school band!
In fourth grade, I joined the band at Kindle School. I played the clarinet in fourth and fifth grade, then began playing the harp in fifth grade. I loved being in the band because I enjoyed learning new music and made a lot of fun memories. This was my first school music experience. -
Seeing Selena Gomez in concert!!

I was the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz!
I had been in musicals at the Pitman Rec Theater's summer program for years, and when I was in fifth grade I got to play the Wicked Witch in the Wizard of Oz! This was a big deal to me because I had never been a lead before! This was also one of my favorite movies so I was so excited to be in the musical. Playing the Wicked Witch of the West is what made me love playing the villain in musicals and plays! -
I joined the choir at the Middle School!
When I started 6th grade, I stopped playing the clarinet and decided to join the choir instead. At first I was a soprano, then I became an alto, which I have sang as ever since! i really enjoyed singing especially because I was in plays and musicals all my life. This was the beginning of my love for choir. -
I saw One Direction in concert!
In the summer before 8th grade, me and my friends were obsessed with One Direction. When we learned they were coming to Philadelphia, we really wanted to get tickets but we were afraid it was too late. My friend's dad secretly bought tickets the day before the concert and we got to go! It was my first major concert in a stadium. I had so much fun with my friends, and we were glad to see One Direction before they split up. -
I joined the Madrigals at the High School!
In freshmen year I auditioned for Madrigals, but unfortunately did not make it. In my sophomore year I auditioned again and made it! I was so excited to learn more challenging songs than we were singing in class and to go caroling at Christmas time! I had always looked up to the Madrigals when I was younger so it was really cool to be a part of it. -
I saw The Weeknd in concert (twice)!
The Weeknd is one of my favorite singers and I love his music. When he announced he was going on tour in 2017, my parents bought me tickets for my 16th birthday. I brought my friend Sierra to the concert and we had the best time! Then when he went on the second leg of his tour, we bought tickets to see him again in Philadelphia. It was an awesome time and I can't wait to see him again when he comes back to Philadelphia!
