Autobiography

  • My parents

    My parents
The day I was born I was graced with the greatest parents of all time. They are my rock and my inspiration to live a good life. They have taught me everything I know about being a good person, following my dreams, being happy, making good choices, heartache, friend issues, etc. With out them, I wouldn't be the strong person that I am today and I'm forever greatful to have them in my life.
  • Baby sister is born

    Baby sister is born
My life changed forever on this day. I became a big sister and was so excited to beable to share my childhood with someone. My little sister is the greatest blessing that I ever recieved. We're very close and tell each other everything. I'm very protective over her, and as you can see in this photo I have always loved babies and little kids. I always strive to be the best role model for her. She means everything to me.
  • Mission Trip to Cuernavaca Mexico

    Mission Trip to Cuernavaca Mexico
Went with my church to an orphanage in Mexico for a week. This really opened up my eyes to how privleged and blessed I am to have the family that I have and to live where I live. These kids had no parents and were living in an orphanage, yet they were so kind, loving, and full of life. This experience has made me be a more humble person and to appreciate everything that I have.
  • Prom with my first love

    Prom with my first love
I met Tyler my junior year of high school and we immediately became best friends. He moved our senior year to Colorado and that's when I knew I loved him. When he moved back, we dated for a couple months and then he ended it out of the blue. Later this year I found out he did it to save our friendship. It was the first heartache I ever had to go through, but it made me a stronger person and I gained self acceptance.
  • Best friend and now sister

    Best friend and now sister
I met my true best friend my senior year of high school. She moved from her mom's house in Virginia her junior year of high school to get a fresh start. Her mom is emotionally abusive and so she went to live with her dad. Freshman year of college her dad kicked her out of his house for no reason. My family and I have taken her under our wing and she lives with us over holidays when she comes home from college. She's made me thankful for the life I have and I have come to consider her a sister.
  • Europe Trip

    Europe Trip
A group of 70 people from my senior year class traveled with one of our teachers to Europe for 3 weeks after graduation. We went to 8 different countries, got to experience different cultures, see different parts of the world, and gained 70 new friends. I will forever be changed by this experience. I realized how big the world is after this trip and want to go travel other parts of the world now. It brought me closer to people I never would have talked to in high school.
  • Fake Friends

    Fake Friends
My former "best friend" Heidi proved to me after a year of friendship how selfish and egotistical she was. I had so many other people tell me that she's not a good friend to me and after multiple situations where I realized how little she cared about my feelings, I cut her out of my life. She was a toxic friend and I'm glad that I decided to no longer be around her. She made me re-evaluate all the other people in my life and decide if they were positive or negative aspects.
  • Tragic Death

    Tragic Death
My cousin Teddy was found dead in a parking lot by my uncle and his sister from binge drinking. He had struggled with drinking for quite some time, but it was a death that no one saw coming and it was really hard on all of us. He was a great man and so young. He was a teacher at St. Francis Catholic School and was in the Peace Corps for a year. This tragedy really woke me up to how precious life is and I can't wait to follow in his teaching footsteps.
  • Friends for a life time

    Friends for a life time
Sophmore year of college, my 3 random roomates turned into the most important friends in my life. They have the same morals and outlook on life that I do and I've never connected more with anyone else on a deep friendship level. I know that they will be the bridesmaids in my wedding one day. I couldn't have found better girls to surround myself with. They lift me up when I'm down and celebrate with me when I'm happy.
  • Major change

    Major change
This was the day I changed my major to Early Childhood Education from Global Health. I've always known that I wanted to do something with kids as a career, but I didn't know what. Last fall I realized that I wanted to be a teacher and it was the best decision I made. I'm so excited to make a difference in kids lives. This is who I am, a teacher :)
