Personal timeline

  • Birth

Out of all of my siblings I was the easiest birth. Although I was easiest, it does not mean it was completely easy. I was born with jaundice which led to me staying in the hospital for a week under a special light. Which also meant my parents spent Thanksgiving at the hospital.
  • First Best Friend

I made my first best friend in first grade. That best friend was named Melia Vega and we remained friends for quite a long time. One of my favorite parts about going to school was seeing and making new friends. I learned a lot about friendship because of Melia and a lot of other friends. It wasn't until junior high school that we started getting distant. We were choir buddies but that didn't last forever. We turned out to be pretty different people but that's life.
  • Sports

In 2010, I was starting to do many activities outside of school, such as sports. I first tried out softball. As a little kid I thought I was pretty good. Thinking back in time, I realize I was quite awful and was very easily distracted. Softball wasn't the right choice for me at the time. So then I was eventually put in indoor soccer. I was much better with soccer than softball but didn't continue anymore for reasons I don't know. But sports were at the bottom of the list for me.
  • Traveling and Visiting Family

In the second grade my family and I took a trip to Thailand to travel and visit other friends and family there. That was the last time since I've been to Thailand. I got to see so many places and meet lots of family. I was either swimming at the beach or in the pool almost every single day I was there. Even though I was only seven, I can remember it was such a fun and great experience.
  • The Theatre

When I was in third grade my mom decided to put me in theatre. As a young child, I was quite a social butterfly and easily made friends in the theatre. Acting was very fun and enjoyable as a kid. I found a love for the arts and continued theatre for the next three years. Sadly after, I stopped doing theatre and moved on to find something a little different.
  • Music

Fifth grade is when I got to learn how to play an instrument. I decided to be in band and I chose to play the flute. There weren't many people who chose the flute, a lot of people ended up quitting and I was one of those people. Even though I was a good flute player I still decided to stop because it still wasn't the right choice for me.
  • Playing A New Instrument

Sixth grade, was when I got to choose a different instrument to play. The instrument I so wanted to play since the fifth grade was the violin. I was a very quick learner and loved it. The only problem was I was just starting which meant I would have to be put in beginning orchestra with fifth graders. I didn't like being with a grade lower because all of my friends were in the advanced orchestra, but I stuck with it for the rest of the year and many to come.
  • A Sister!

Interesting story, my sister was born the day that I had gone to Camp Keep and I was very surprised when I came back. I can't imagine what my life would be like without her. It would most likely be really boring during the days without someone constantly annoying me, but way more relaxing. I've learned so much about taking care of another person and I have a lot more experience with babysitting now. I have an older brother but when my sister was born I finally felt like a good (better) sister.
  • The Arts

When the time came to choose electives for high school it was quite easy. I was in chorus since the fifth grade and orchestra since the sixth grade. Over the course of junior high I always leaned more towards orchestra than chorus. If there was a field trip in both, I always chose orchestra. Playing the violin and sticking with orchestra was my passion. So of course when choosing an elective, I decided to do orchestra. I loved singing too but just not as much as knowing how to play violin.
  • High School Goals

I didn't have many goals for my first year except to be social and get really good grades. One of my new goals is to join clubs and be more involved. One of my most important goals is to stay in orchestra for the entire four years. It's worked out so far and is really important to me because it will help with my college transcript and truly proves to myself that I am willing and dedicated. I always liked playing the violin and being a part of the arts because music was always my main interest.
