Assistance

  • Personal Experience

I offered to help give this new girl directions around the school, and she gladly accepted. Three years later we are best friends. Not only did I get to do a good thing but I also got a best friend out of it.
  • Offer Assistance

It is important to offer assistance because it can impact others. “By offering before they need to ask you, you are showing that you care about them.” But, you have to follow through with whatever they are asking you to do. You can’t just ask them if they need help and if they say yes then you have to help them, “Simply asking won't actually help them.” It is a domino effect, if people see you asking for help them maybe others will do the same.
  • Importance of Asking

It is important to ask for assistance because it can help further your learning. If you do not know something then ask questions. There are people that know more than you, “the belief that no one can do it as well as you can.” There’s always going to be someone who is better than you at something, but if you want to be as good as that one person, then you have to ask questions.
