    American president Bill Clinton brought Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Palestinian President Yasser Arafat to Camp David. This was an attempt to settle the argument and conflict between Israel and Palestine. In the end the peace summit was a failure In attempt to end the violence.

But Israel ended up building some of the wall in the middle of Palestinian land. It cuts right through a lot of its neighborhoods.

    Israel's prime minister Ariel Sharon decided to lead Israel to withdraw from the Gaza Strip. All,of Israel's civilians that settled in Gaza were forced to move. As soon as Israel's troops moved out of Gaza, the number of rockets and missiles launched into the Gaza strip by the PLO increased dramatically.

    Second Lebanon war
    In 2006, a radical group known as the Hezbollah invaded an Israeli base in Lebanon. They killed eight soldiers and kidnapped 2, who were later killed. This started the second Lebanon war. They used a human shield tactic against the Israeli military.
