    Became empire with conquest of constantinople and that is one of the things it is known for. Fall of the Ottoman Empire was brought about by choosing to fight with Germany against the british empire in 1914,They lost so Britain broke up the Ottoman Empire in 1918.

    Prince Henry the Navigator

    He is the man responsible for the development of European exploration and trade. He devoted his life to promoting explortion. Also sailed around the cape of Africa. Known as a generous man. Died November 13th 1460.

    European empires in the New World lacked one thingk and that was workers so they brought slaves. Originally they got them to work on sugar plantations but the Portuguese found that they make lots of gold just transporting and selling them to other places too.

    Had 2 reigns first reign ended in 1446, second went from 1451 to 1481. Was the sultan of Ottoman Empire. At age of 21 he conquered Constantinople. Regarded as national hero in Turkey. Also helped unify Antolians

    He was a monk, priest, professor of theology and important figure of the Protestant Reformation. Was born in Germany. Disputed indulgences and was known for 95 theses. Was excommunicated by pope.( at that time Pole Leo X in 1520. Died in 1546.

Started Calvinism and was a professor, a writer, wrote commentaries about almost all of the Bible, but and wrote institutes of the Christian religion, a book that had a major impact in the Protestant Reformation.

    A council of the Roman Catholic Church.The council of Trent issued condemnations and defined Church teachings in the areas of Scripture and Tradition, Original Sin, Justification, and Sacraments. Council was embodiment of counter reformation. Ended in December 4th, 1563.

    A series of wars mainly fought in central Europe, involving most of the countries of Europe. It was fought largely as a religious war between Protestants and Catholics in the Holy Roman Empire. Effect was decline in the power and influence of the Catholic Church. War ended in 1648.
