    Karl Marx published the book "Communist Manifesto" which outlines the basic ideas of communism. Friedrich Engels has been give the credit to have written the first drafts. The purpose of this book was to publicize the views and aims of the Communists. The book talks a lot about class structure and that if we can reslove the conflict between classes then that would mark the end of all class disagreements.

    The Russian civil war was fought between the Bolshevik Red Army and the White Army, the anti-Bolshevik forces. Many foreign armies fought against the Red Army. The Red Army defeated the White Armed Forces of South Russia in Ukraine and the army led by Aleksandr Kolchak in Siberia in 1919. The remains of the White forces were beaten and were evacuated in the autumn of 1920. A number of countries gained independence after the war including Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.

    The windmill is a symbol for Joseph Stalin's Five-Year Plans for the National Economy of the Soviet Union. The windmill was promised to make the animals' life easier. In reality, Stalin's Five-Year Plans were intended to improve Soviet industry to the point where workers had shortened work-weeks. Stalin's first Five Year plan was adopted in 1928 but had goals that were too agressive, like a 250% increase in overall industrial development causing part of his plans to fail.

    Sonowball being ousted in history represents Trorsky being deported. Trotsky was deported from the Soviet Union in February 1929. He was deported for his anti-war activities. Specifically, Trotsky refused to surrentder to the Left Opposition (a group formed due to a power struggle in the Bolshevik Party). After he was deported, most of the leaders of the opposing party surrendered to Stalin and admitted their mistakes and they were reinstated to the Communist Party.

    This symbolizes the Non-Aggression Pact between Germany and Russia. According to the non - agression pact the Soviet Union and Germany agreed to avoid each other from any violence. It was signed by the Soviet minister Vyacheslav Molotov and the German minister Joachim von Ribbentrop. On the day after the pact’s confirmation September 1, 1939, Germany attacked Poland.

    On August 23, 1939, enemies Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union surprised the world by signing the German-Soviet Nonaggression Pact, in which the two countries agreed to take no military action against each other for the next 10 years. In the summer of 1941, Hitler breaks the pact by openly attacking the western borders and destroys much of the Soviets industry.
